My 'Avengers: Infinity War' Experience - Spoiler Free!

I’m guessing by now most people have seen Avengers: Infinity War - especially seeing as it smashed a ton of records at the box office. Even so, I’m not going to spoil any of the plot in this blog post, as what I really want to talk about is the incredible experience I had seeing the film for the first time.

I have now seen Infinity War twice (yep I loved it that much), but of course for my first screening I went to go see it in 3D IMAX - how could I not!? I wasn’t able to see it on opening night so had tried to avoid the internet as much as possible in case I saw any spoilers. As a result, by the time I got to the cinema I was buzzing and so excited to finally see the film that had been built up to over the course of ten years. I’m pretty sure everyone in the cinema was feeling the same. The screen was packed and the atmosphere was unreal - we could not wait for the lights to go down and for the film to begin.

When the opening scene began the room fell silent as people were hanging on every word of the characters onscreen. In my head I was thinking: “I can’t believe this film is finally here!”

As the film went on some members of the audience would cheer when their favourite heroes appeared for the first time and I couldn’t help but smile. It was amazing to have a packed out cinema audience expressing their love for a film so much.

There were so many moments throughout the film that shocked me, made me laugh, made me smile and dare I say it - broke my heart. It was a whirlwind of emotions. I was gripped throughout and even though it is a very long film, it never felt slow or boring.

Back in 2008 when the first Iron Man film came out, no one could have imagined the vast scale, quality and popularity of these films. Over the course of ten years the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become a huge franchise with an enormous fan base and as a result of its success we are now able to see so many of our favourite superheroes in this one film.

Most of all I’m so glad I went to see it in IMAX 3D as the quality was so good that I really felt immersed in the film. Plus, as I saw it only a few days after it was released most people were seeing it for the first time and were sharing the amazing cinematic experience together.

It was incredible knowing that everyone in that room was feeling so much adoration and excitement for this film. The only other time I have experienced something like this was when I saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens for the first time.

If you haven’t seen the film yet - what are you waiting for? I can't recommend this film enough. I was still buzzing after seeing it a second time and now I can’t wait to see the next chapter in the story.

If you have seen the film, let me know about your cinema experience and what you thought in the comments below.
